Trial for man accused of killing another in a street brawl has begun

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCBD) — The trial for a Mount Pleasant man accused of killing another man in a street brawl started on Wednesday, April 6.

Dalton Ellis Clarke is facing charges in connection to the death of Clinton Seymour.

Seymour died April 21 at the Medical University of South Carolina while being treated for skull fractures from being “sucker-punched” on King Street.

Clarke is on tiral for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. But he was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter.

The trial continues Thursday.
