HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – A Murrells Inlet man is out of jail after Horry County Police arrested him on a sex charge.
Brian Scott Perry, Jr., 20, was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 7 a.m. Wednesday on one count of third degree criminal sexual conduct, according to the facility’s website.
In an official Horry County Police Department report released to News13, the victim told police in March 2014 she was forced to have sex at a party in 2013. The victim said the man “kept giving [her] alcoholic beverages, causing [her] to become intoxicated.” The victim further stated to police the man “led her into a bedroom and forced himself on her.”
An arrest warrant further states the victim disclosed the incident during a forensic interview, in addition to two independent witnesses providing statements about the incident the night it took place.
According to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking website, a judge granted Perry a $5,000 bond.
