Fatal Jet Ski accident on Lake Moultrie

BERKELEY, SC- A fatal Jet Ski accident took place Tuesday on Lake Moultrie at approximately 7 p.m.

According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, 73 year-old Doris Nobles of Conway, SC was a passenger on a jet ski Tuesday evening when she fell off.

Nobles ingested water and was transported to shore. Upon arriving to shore she was then transported by Berkley County EMS to the emergency room where she was pronounced dead.

The 73 year-old was wearing a life jacket and traveling at an idle speed the time of the incident.

The incident was investigated by The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and has been ruled an accidental drowning.
