CHARLESTON, S.C. – In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Battery players and coaches marched in the annual parade downtown.
Players greeted fans along King street corridor with beads and miniature soccer balls as gifts. This traditional event is considered a precursor to Charleston Battery’s season.
“It’s going to be a really good season, we’re excited about the new ownership.” Prince told News 2. “We are really excited to get this season kicked off.”
This weekend the Battery will have their final exhibition game against the New York Cosmos. On March 26, the team will host their season opener against FC Cincinnati.
