Inmate Tommy Lee Henderson has been apprehended. He will be charged with escape and could face up to 10 years in prison. The S.C. Department of Corrections says Lee County Sheriff’s Department was an integral part of the apprehension efforts.
Authorities are looking for an inmate who escaped from Wateree Correctional Institution in Rembert, SC. Wateree is a medium level security facility where the inmate, Tommy Lee Henderson, was serving a five-year sentence for possession of imitation of a controlled substance.
Henderson has a tattoo of a cross on his right upper arm, has brown hair but may be shaved bald, about 5’9″ tall and weighs about 240 pounds.
