Residents of Joseph Floyd Manor Return Home

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The residents of the Joseph Floyd Manor are returning home after having been displaced from their homes due to a fire in the building on Tuesday evening.

Residents returned home on Thursday, February 18.

The American Red Cross assisted more than 65 people by opening a shelter at Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church.

The shelter at the church is now closed but the Red Cross has arranged for meals to be delivered to the residents of the apartments.

Since Wednesday, the Red Cross, the Lowcountry Food Bank and others served more than 1,800 meals and snacks, distributed more than 100 comfort kits to residents, and provided nearly 200 health and mental health contacts.
