Docker worker missing since November found in marsh in Pawleys Island

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCBD) – An investigation is underway in Georgetown County following the discovery of a body in Pawleys Island.

Deputy Coroner Paulette Radcliffe of the Georgetown County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 53-year-old Karim Rafi Muhammad Ali.

According to officials, his body was found in the marsh at 504 Bannockburn Drive, south of Hagley Landing, in Pawleys Island on Thursday, February 18.

Radcliffe says Mr. Ali had been missing since November 23, 2015 when he fell off of a floating dock while working

Officials confirmed on Tuesday, February 23, Muhammad’s official cause of death is drowning.
