CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) — Although her son is on the campaign trail, today former first lady Barbara Bush return to Ashley Hall, her alma mater, to talk about matters of the heart.
At 90 years old, Bush return to the campus where she attended high school in the 1940s.
Her walker displayed a Jeb Bush campaign sticker but Mrs. Bush did not mention her son’s push for the Republican nomination.
She talked about meeting the boy who would eventually become her husband and the 43rd president of the United States.
The Bush’s have been married longer than any other presidential couple 70 years. They had six children.
Mrs. Bush will be in South Carolina until the Republican primary Saturday.
