The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) will have a public meeting Tuesday night to discuss route changes and future plans for the bus service system.
The three main things that will be discussed: faster, reliable and consistent service, re-investing in the system, and getting the the system ready for the future in terms of operations and finances.
Currently the system is not proposing any eliminations to routes, nor are there any plans for an increase in bus fare.
The meeting for Tuesday night will be held at the Mount Pleasant Town Hall at 6 p.m.
There is one other public meeting happening this week.
It happens Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Trident Technical College’s Palmer Campus in Charleston.
Next week, there are two public meetings happening.
One is set for Monday February 22, at John Wesley United Methodist Church, the other is happening on Tuesday February 23 at North Charleston Armory Park.
All public meetings will begin at 6 p.m.
