Atlanta airport adds new nursing pods for breastfeeding mothers

Breastfeeding mothers now have secluded spots to feed their babies at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

The new nursing pods have benches, space for diaper changes and electrical outlets for breast pumps.

So far, there are four pods installed past the security check.

An airport spokesman says “we worked very diligently with our partners at the airport to find the best location for these lactation stations, and we’ve gotten terrific feedback so far.”

The airport is also looking for ways to create spaces for breastfeeding mothers closer to the atrium and airline check-in.
