A portion of Riverland Drive on James Island is back open on Monday morning after an overnight water main break affected 300 customers between Camp Road and Maybank Highway.
Charleston Water System had a crew fixing the 16 inch water main break on Riverland Drive near James Island County Park on Sunday night.
They notified customers through their twitter account that they estimated the water outage to last for 4 hours and that it would affect 300 customers.
Riverland Drive from Camp Road to Central Park Road was closed to traffic overnight.
Just after 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning, the pipe repair was completed and the water was restored for all customers.
Riverland Drive is now open to traffic.
