Rubio campaigns in SC while in the state for economic forum

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio is doing some campaigning this weekend while he’s in South Carolina for an economic forum.

The Florida senator is participating in a meet and greet on Friday sponsored by South Carolina Citizens for Life. That event is being held at Carolina Haven in Columbia.

The next day, Rubio starts off in Aiken for a town hall meeting with voters. Then he returns to Columbia to participate in a forum on economic opportunity being put on by the Kemp Foundation. Several other GOP presidential hopefuls are planning to take part in that gathering.
