ANDREWS, SC — An investigation is underway following a stabbing in Williamsburg County.
Authorities say on Tuesday, December 8, at approximately 9:01 p.m., Williamsburg County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic incident that occurred at a home on Champagne Lane.
Upon arrival deputies made contact with the victim, Diana Tisdale, at the residence.
We’re told Diana Tisdale was at the home with her son, Vern Lee Tisdale, when he started a dispute. Deputies say Tisdale told them Vern started destroying items inside the home and became irate.
While going outside with the four week old grandchild, Tisdale says her son struck her in the face repeatedly. She told deputies she stabbed her son with a scissors in order for him to stop attacking her.
Vern Lee Tisdale was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. No word on if any charges will be filed.
