COLUMBIA, S.C. — A North Charleston man is in jail, facing eleven counts involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Michael Oronde Williams,38, of North Charleston, on Wednesday, December 9.
Investigators say Williams, a registered sex offender, was involved in exchanging files containing child pornography.
He was arrested on December 8, 2015 and charged with eleven counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor second degree. The felony is punishable by up to ten years in prison on each count.
We’re told multiple pieces of electronic equipment were seized for forensic examination.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
