Hundreds line up for grocery gift card giveaway Monday morning

On Monday, November 30, at 7:30 a.m., The Star Gospel Mission, located at 474 Meeting Street passed out hundreds of holiday food gift cards.

On Monday morning, hundreds of people lined up and the line wrapped around the building and down the street. Many started waiting outside the building on Sunday afternoon and braved the cold to get their hands on the free gift card.

Each gift card was valued at $60.00 and were made available through the Good Cheer Fund of the Post and Courier in conjunction with the Star Gospel Mission.

The gift cards can be used at any Bi-Lo store throughout the Lowcountry.

This annual event draws hundreds of people from throughout the Tri-county area.
