Charleston County’s Deputy Coroner says Robinson II, a 29-year-old black male died as a result of a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The North Charleston P.D. continues to investigate the incident.
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC — Authorities are investigating an overnight shooting in North Charleston.
On Friday, November 27 at 1:30 a.m., the North Charleston Police Department and the Charleston County Sheriff’s office responded to the 4000 block of Leslie Street in response to a shooting.
We’re told on scene, officers found an African-American male lying in the front yard deceased. Another male was found walking around the area with a gun shot wound to the shoulder.
Based on preliminary information, allegedly three males walked up to the victims and started shooting in the front yard. The suspects then fled on foot to a black Mustang and a gray unknown make vehicle and drove away.
We are still working to learn the identity of the victim while investigators work to determine a motive.
A family member of one of the victim’s told News 2’s Ashley Yost he believes the shooting was drug related.
