Summerville Police have arrested and charged Christian Himes, 22, murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Himes allegedly shot and killed a 36-year-old male at Waters Edge Apartments on November 1, 2015. The victim was treated and transported to a local hospital for injuries but later died from the gunshot wounds.
The Dorchester County Coroner has identified the victim as David Scott Ham.
According to officials, neither the victim nor the accused suspect lived in the apartment complex.
When Himes was arrested he was transported to the Dorchester County Detention Center.
He appeared in bond court on Monday, November 2 and his bond was denied on the murder charge. He received a $150,000 bond for possession of a firearm during commission of a violent crime.
