Glamour honors Women of the year, includes Emanuel AME survivors, relatives of victims

Glamour Magazine has announced it’s 25th Anniversary Women of the Year Awards.

Among the honorees are the “Women of Charleston.”

Glamour is recognizing five women who were connected to the Charleston Church Shooting at Emanuel AME on June 17.

Alana Simmons, 26, Nadine Collier, 47, Bethane Middleton-Brown, 45, Felicia Sanders, 58, and Polly Sheppard, 71 will be honored on November 9 at Carnegie Hall in New York City for “guiding America toward compassion and tolerance.”
