Saturday, October 24 there are fall events happening across the Lowcountry making it a weekend to remember. Below is a list of events that are taking place this weekend.
District 9 Fall Festival: The Charleston County School District Fall Festival
Families and community members are invited to join us for a festival showcasing student demonstrations and the unique programs offered at our great island schools. Come enjoy student activities, food, and entertainment!

Goose Creek Halloween Carnival: The City of Goose Creek’s Annual Halloween Carnival will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Goose Creek Community Center. The free event will include a costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, jump castle, cupcake walk, carnival games, candy and more.
The costume contest – sponsored by Walmart – begins at 6 p.m. The contest will include three different age groups: 0 to 3, 4 to 7, and 8 to 12.
Fall Fun House: The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry hosts their annual Fall Fun House event fit for the whole family. It takes place from 4pm to 6:30pm. The event includes, costume part, story telling, hayrides, science experiments and much more. Tickets cost $5 for members and $12 for general admission at the door.
7th Annual Family Fright Nights: Monster games and haunted train rides will ooze from the swamp during the 7th Annual Family Fright Nights at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.
The hair-raising affair starts at 6 p.m. on Oct. 23-24 and Oct. 30. Family Fright Night ends at 10 p.m.
Tickets at the gate are $10 per person or $40 for a car of up to five passengers. Admission is free for Magnolia’s annual members.
