The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has reopened the south bound lanes of I-95 that had been closed since last week due to the historic flooding event in South Carolina. The lanes have been in the 13-mile closed section of I-95. Work continues restoring the bridges on the north bound lanes which remain closed.
Work began on Saturday morning, October 10 to repair 18 bridges in that 13-mile closed section. Repair work will go on continuously until the north bound lanes are open. In the meantime, SCDOT is pleased to report that all of I-95southbound in South Carolina is open.
