According to P2016.org, Former Gov. George Pataki is scheduled to participate in one of of Sen. Tim Scott’s Presidential Town Halls in Bluffton, SC on October 16, 2015.
Tim knows that the best way for the people of South Carolina to make their decision during the 2016 Republican Presidential Primary is to hear directly from the candidates themselves. Tim’s Town Halls provide the opportunity for South Carolinians to look candidates in the eye, shake their hand, and make a choice free of polls or that week’s hot name in the media.
In 2012, seven of the eight major Republican candidates made the trip to South Carolina to participate, including Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, with some stops being broadcast live on national television. Tim’s Town Halls became an essential stop for Republican presidential hopefuls during the 2012 campaign.
“Scott’s established himself as…the state’s kingmaker, organizing what he calls “Tim’s town halls”–forums for the presidential candidates to meet with his constituents and likely GOP voters in the state’s must win primary.” GQ
In 2015, Tim will bring his Presidential Town Hall series all across South Carolina, with good friend Trey Gowdy joining to co-host events in the Upstate.
As the 2016 election nears, America finds itself at a pivotal point in our history. The policies of the past eight years have led to a stagnant economy, millions dropping out of the workforce, and a foreign policy that can be described as murky at best. America needs a leader to move our nation forward, plain and simple. And in South Carolina, we pride ourselves on a tradition of finding that leader and picking presidents.
“This time around he’s spicing things up. At town hall meetings in South Carolina’s Upstate region, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., will cohost the events.” Washington Examiner
We look forward to seeing you across the Palmetto State, and please keep up with Tim’s Town Halls on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
