Coastal Flooding Closes Streets Downtown for Second Day in a Row

CHARLESTON, SC – Coastal Flooding in Charleston has caused roads to close downtown for a second day in a row.

Charleston Police Department says the Southbound lanes of Lockwood Blvd. heading into downtown Charleston will have to turn left onto Beaufain Street due to road closures on Lockwood Blvd., Broad St. and Barre St. downtown.

Wentworth St. between Lockwood Blvd. to Gadsden St. is closed due to tidal flooding.

Barre St. from Beaufain to Montague is closed.

Lockwood Blvd., South towards Broad St., is now open.

Market St. is now completely open

The Eastbound lane of Calhoun St. from Fourth St. to Halsey Blvd. is closed due to flooding.
