Doctors say the flu has officially arrived in the Upstate.

The first cases of the virus have been confirmed in Greenville and Pickens Counties. Doctors say the best way to protect yourself is to get vaccinated now.

Several Upstate hospitals are already planning to host free flu clinics in the coming weeks:

  • The Bon Secours St. Francis Health System will be offering free drive-thru flu shots on Friday, October 2nd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The drive-thru will be located in the VIP parking lot of Bon Secours Wellness Arena, off Church Street in Grenville.
  • The Greenville Health System will offer free flu shots at several events in Greer and Simpsonville next month. Click here to see the full schedule.
