Pro Performance Athletics to host the second annual Step Up to the Plate co-ed softball and baseball charity tournament from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 12.
The event will benefit both the Wounded Warrior Project and the Clint Seymour Play Ball Fund.
All proceeds given to the Wounded Warrior Project will benefit the family of United States Marine Corps Sgt. Mark Johnson, a Goose Creek native and Stratford High School alumnus killed earlier this year in a helicopter accident in Nepal.
The softball tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Jones Center in Mount Pleasant. A travel baseball tournament will also take place that at Gahagan Park in Summerville. The registration deadline to play has already passed.
