NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is a featured speaker at a gathering of black business leaders set for Sept. 23-25 in North Charleston.
The Greater Charleston Business Alliance and the South Carolina African-American Chamber of Commerce announced Trump’s appearance, which will be his third trip to South Carolina since launching his bid for president.
The groups have not confirmed the exact date Trump will speak.
The wealthy businessman and former reality television star leads early polls of Republican primary voters in South Carolina and nationally.
South Carolina Republicans vote in February, just weeks after Iowa and New Hampshire voters begin the nominating contest.
Trump already has campaigned in Bluffton and Greenville.
