MOUNT PLEASANT, SC – On August 19, 2015 at approximately 2:20 a.m. the Circle K at 685 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. was robbed.
Authorities released images from surveillance video of the suspect.
According to the police report, the suspect, a black male wearing all black, had left the scene when police arrived. The cashier at the convenience store had locked himself inside the office of the store. Police got him to come out of the office and questioned him on what had happened at the time of the robbery.
The employee said that one cash register drawer was open when the suspect walked into the store because he had spilled a roll of pennies when making change for a customer that was in the business before the robbery. He said that the suspect appeared to have a gun inside of a dark in color draw string bag that was wrapped around his hand. The suspect demanded money from the cashier and stole a box of Newport 100’s cigarettes.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid-20’s, wearing a black short sleeved shirt and dark pants with gloves, approximately 5’06” or 5’07” with an average build.
Approximately $152 was stolen. The Police Officers obtained the surveillance video from the store and it has been placed into evidence.
