GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC – Levonne Collins has been arrested after pouring Kerosene on her sister and trying to set her on fire.
Greenville County Deputies responded early Thursday morning to Blassingame Rd. after a call about a disturbance and possible arson.
When they arrived, the victim told deputies that her sister had poured Kerosene on her and was threatening to set her on fire. The victim said she then locked herself in a bedroom, but Collins poured Kerosene on and under the door, and then set the door on fire.
Reports say the victim escaped through the bedroom window and ran to a neighbor’s home.
Gantt Fire Department responded to the fire at the house.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s office says Collins was still on the scene when deputies arrived and she was taken into custody.
Collins was charged with attempted murder and third degree arson. She is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center and was denied bond.
