Search is on for person responsible for death in Orangeburg County

Authorities are investigating the discovery of a dead body in Orangeburg County.

Rich Walker with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Department says investigators were called to a location on Brison Road on Wednesday, July 29 where an individual was found deceased.

We’re learning from a preliminary investigation that authorities are searching for 24-year-old Malcolm Jamar Williams. He’s described as an African-American male standing about 5-8′ and weighing around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing black pants with white stripes, a white T-shirt, and is said to have a scar on his forehead.

Walker says the death is believed to the domestic-related. We’re still working to learn the identity of the victim from the Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office.
