CHARLESTON, SC – 10 years ago, two Charleston teens were rescued after seven days on the water, after their boat was pulled out to sea by a rip current. Josh Long and Troy Driscoll were 17 and 15 when they were swept out to sea.
The search for Florida teens Austin and Perry is entering the seventh day, which was when Josh and Troy were found. The biggest difference in these two stories is Josh and Troy were able to stay with their boat the entire time, and Austin and Perry’s boat was found capsized.
