OZARK, AL – The North Charleston, SC Dixie Majors arrived in Alabama on a mission, to repeat as World Champions.
After their only loss of the tournament to Arkansas Tuesday night, North Charleston drew a bye and waited to play the winner of Arkansas vs. Alabama.
After a couple of rain delays, North Charleston went on into the seventh inning with a 3-0 lead before Arkansas rallied to 3-2.
With two outs, center fielder Chris Singleton scooped up a base hit before throwing out the tying run at home for the final out of the game.
North Charleston holds Dixie Majors World Series records with the most back-to-back wins, 2005, 2006, 2014 and 2015 and have the most Dixie Majors World Series titles by a league with five.
