On Sunday, July 26, 2015 Pfc. Kittle from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to Rifle Range Rd. in reference to an injured deer. Cpl. Zeitner and Ofc. Morgan stopped to assist Pfc. Kittle.

We’re told the officers found the deer along the side of the road with what appeared to be a broken left rear leg.

The deer was cut free of the briars, wrapped up in a blanket and transported to Veterinary Specialty Care on Johnnie Dodds Blvd.

Officers checked back with Veterinary Specialty Care and learned that the deer had been release from treatment and was now recovering at a wildlife rehabilitation facility.
