Tuesday morning Charleston Police Department, Charleston Fire Department and SCE&G responded to a gas leak in front of Emanuel A.M.E. Church on Calhoun Street.
Dispatch says they received a call at 8:13 A.M. on Tuesday morning about a ruptured gas line in front of the church. Officials say that a construction crew was digging in the area and they ruptured the gas line.
