South Carolina athletes, coaches and partners will participate in the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles from July 25-August 2.
Nicole, Robert, Scott, Kylie, Meghan and Ellinor have been training so hard this past year. Coach Meta and Coach Josh have worked hard getting their athletes prepared for competition as well.
Not everyone can make the trip to Los Angeles but there are still several ways you can keep up with how USA and SC athletes are doing.
ESPN is the official broadcast sponsor of World Games which brings an unprecedented amount of media coverage and we want to invite YOU to #Cheer4USA by tuning in to ESPN’s coverage throughout the games.
Coverage begins live from Los Angeles with the Opening Ceremony on July 25th at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT and continues daily, throughout the Games.
Keep up with your favorite athlete’s competition results during the Games, online! Official results will be posted online within approximately one hour after the conclusion of the specific event (subject to change).
To access results, go to the “Athletes” page on the Games website (http://www.la2015.org/athletes) and search by the athlete you’re interested in. Note that the search field can be very specific with respect to the name – you may need to search by the athlete’s formal name, e.g., search for “Alexander” versus “Alex.”
Competition schedules for athletes will be found by going to the “Sports” menu (http://www.la2015.org/sports) and clicking on the sport of interest. There you can see the general schedule, as well as search by athlete.
