U.S. Marshals arrest suspects in Lowcountry

On Thursday, July 23, at 2:16 P.M., the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrived at 3028 Maybank Highway on James Island to arrest Deserae Davis who was wanted by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office for three outstanding arrest warrants.

Davis was charged with domestic violence high and aggravated, grand larceny and armed robbery.

U.S. Marshals along with Sheriff’s Deputies and SCPPD agents knocked on the door of the residence where Davis was staying. They say after several minutes, the suspect opened the door and immediately surrendered to authorities. She was properly searched, restrained, transported and booked at the Al Cannon Detention Center. Her bond hearing was scheduled for Friday morning at 9:00 A.M.

On Thursday at 10:20 A.M., the U.S. Marshals also received a tip that Robert Ramone Fields, who was also wanted on charges of Accessory before the fact of murder, had just arrived at 1626 Balsam Avenue Apartment B in West Ashley. The U.S. Marshals and SCPPD Agents went to the location and confronted Fields. Fields surrendered and was immediately searched, restrained, transported and booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center. His Bond hearing was Thursday  night at 7:00 P.M.
