Armed and dangerous suspect runs from motorcycle crash

The suspect is described as in his mid 30’s with plaid shorts, no shirt and wearing a motorcycle helmet.

EASLEY, SC – Police are searching for a suspect that is considered armed and dangerous after crashing his motorcycle and running on foot from police Friday afternoon.

The Easley Police Department tells us an officer noticed the suspect driving recklessly on a motorcycle around the Rolling Hills Circle area in Easley.

The officer attempted to catch up to the suspect but the driver fled. In the process of fleeing the driver hit two cars and flipped off his motorcycle.

Police tell us the suspect got up and ran away. The officer started to chase the suspect on foot, but the suspect had what appeared to be a gun in his possession and the officer pulled back from the chase.

The officer said the man jumped a fence in a residential area and ran off.

Brandon Liner, an investigator at the Easley police department, says some witnesses reported that the suspect pulled out a gun and pointed it at them as he got off his motorcycle.

Police consider the man armed and dangerous and are asking people not to encounter the suspect if seen and call 911.

The suspect is described as in his mid 30’s with plaid shorts, no shirt and wearing a motorcycle helmet.
