CCSO Sheriff addresses KKK fliers found in the Lowcountry

Ku Klux Klan fliers found on cars in North Charleston neighborhood.

CHARLESTON, SC – Charleston County Sheriff Al Cannon held a joint news conference Friday discussing the recent dissemination of KKK fliers in the community and recent threats made against the NAACP Charleston Chapter.

People living in the Dorchester Walyn neighborhood in North Charleston found KKK fliers on the windshields of their cars Wednesday morning.

The news conference was held at the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and Law Enforcement Center located at 3691 Leeds Ave in North Charleston.

The Charleston Police Department, North Charleston Police Department, Mount Pleasant Police Department, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Federal Bureau of Investigations had representatives at the news conference.
