Olivia Jordan, Miss Oklahoma, was crowned Miss USA on Sunday night and her name is trending this morning. This year’s competition came with a lot of controversy thanks to partial owner, Donald Trump. NBC and Univision dumped the show after the comments he made regarding some Mexican immigrants. The Miss USA competition eventually found a home on Reelz and aired on Sunday, July 12.

From a little more than one million miles away, Pluto’s surface is really starting to look sharp. Nasa’s New Horizons spacecraft took these pictures of Pluto and its largest moon, Charon, on July 11 and they were just released. New Horizons was launched into space in 2006 and has traveled about three billion miles to arrive at the dwarf planet for this flyby mission.

Manhattanhenge made its second debut of the year last night in New York City. #Manhattanhenge is when the sun sets and aligns with the east west streets of the Main Street grid of Manhattan in New York City. On Sunday, July 12 you could see the full sun setting between the buildings of the city, and on Monday, July 13, you will be able to see half of the sun setting. It won’t happen again until May of 2016.

Evelyn Jones didn’t want to spend her 108th birthday relaxing at home. Instead, she wanted to show her support for her favorite baseball team right on the field. Before the Seattle Mariners took on the Angels of Anaheim on Saturday night, she put on her team jersey and stepped onto the dirt with her walker to show off her skills. With a little underhand toss, she became the oldest person to throw a ceremonial first pitch at an MLB game. Even better, the entire stadium sang Happy Birthday to her and she got a jersey with 108 on the back.
