Sunday afternoon visitors enjoying the beach at Isle of Palms reported several shark sightings.
According to various reports around 5:30 p.m. Sunday a 5-6 foot shark was spotted in shallow waters on IOP. One family told News 2’s Matt Alba that many people on the beach started yelling, “Shark! Shark! Get out! Get out!”
Many soon noticed that the shark was dead and other sharks were in the shallow water eating the dead shark.
The captain of the Isle of Palms Police Department told News 2 that this was only the second report of a shark on IOP in 2015.
