Search is on for suspect in Summerville shooting (Image 1)

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating following a shooting in Summerville.

Michael Mule with the Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a shooting on Pooh Lane in the Sheep Island section of Summerville, Tuesday, June 16.  Authorities found 47-year-old Josie Evans with shotgun wounds to both legs and his right wrist.
 
We’re learning witnesses said that Evans and his 26-year-old stepson Lakendrick Dante Pryor had gotten into a verbal altercation which developed into a physical altercation.  Witnesses also added that the two split up and Pryor left, only to return with a shotgun and shot Evans.  Pryor also lives at the Pooh Lane address.

Evans was transported to the hospital by Berkeley County EMS and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Lakendrick Dante Pryor is charged with attempted murder and firearms-related charges.
