The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a burglary at Edisto High School that resulted in nearly $12,000 in damages and thefts.
Richard Walker with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office says investigators were called out to the Cordova school early Monday after staff members discovered someone had forced their way into the campus and ransacked several offices.
We’re told video surveillance shows cameras caught a tall African-American male wearing camouflage using various tools to force entry into several vending machines, attacking them for about 45 minutes before leaving.
The suspect then entered the main building where a 42-inch Toshiba TV and food were stolen. A large screen TV worth more than $2,300 was also found damaged.
If anyone has any information on the school break-in, they are asked to contact the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office at 803-534-3550 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
