Authorities have arrested a man wanted in connection with an apartment complex shooting in Orangeburg.
Robert Morton, 37, was taken into custody Friday, June 5 by agents with the US Marshals Service and OCSO officers in Florence, S.C. He’s charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Richard Walker with the Orangeburg Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to Armstrong Terrace Wednesday, June 3 at 9 p.m. after residents said a man told them he was shot.
The 22-year-old was taken to a local hospital suffering from three gunshot wounds, two to his left side and another in his left arm.
Investigators are still working to determine a motive in the shooting.
The victim remains in critical condition.
