It’s time for students to head back to school in the Lowcountry, but before the school bell rings, parents and students must meet an important deadline.
Students who will be attending Dorchester District Two schools for the 2014-2015 school year should register for Fact and Fee days on August 5th and 6th. The registration times are as follows:
August 5: 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
August 6: 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Online registration is available for all high schools and middle schools in Dorchester District Two, including: Beech Hill Elementary, Oakbrook Elementary, Pye Elementary, and Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary also offer online registration. Parents should visit the web site of these schools for specific information regarding online registration.
In order to register, a student’s parent/guardian must provide a current utility bill that includes a service address in the parent/guardian’s name.
There is a $20 registration fee for all students in the district. This fee is used for materials and resources at your child’s school.
In Charleston County, registration continues until Saturday, August 9. Registration dates and times are as follows:
August 5 to August 7: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday, August 8: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday, August 9: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Required documents include: your child’s legal birth certificate, certificate of immunization, affidavit of residency, a recent property tax bill along with a utility bill, car registration, pay stub or piece of local, state or federal agency mail.
Visit or call your child’s assigned neighborhood school or the charter or magnet school you would like your child to attend in order to schedule an appointment. Ask about required applications, forms, or additional required documents.
