One person is at the Medical University of South Carolina recovering from injuries after the boat he was in capsized.
The Coast Guard rescued a man whose vessel was sinking today at the entrance to the North Edisto River near Kiawah Island.
Officials say Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Charleston command center were notified by Sea Tow Charleston that the 31-foot Sea Ray boat was sinking. Coast Guard Air Facility Charleston was able to rescue the man, who suffered minor injuries. He was taken to MUSC for treatment.
After the rescue was successful, the Sea Ray boat sank and then capsized.
No word on what exactly caused the boat to start sinking.
