A traffic stop near Mudville Rd. and Highway 27 near Ridgeville resulted in the arrests of two suspects for drugs.  

The two suspects are charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Trafficking Cocaine Base and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

When agents approached the subject's vehicle, a Chevrolet S-10 truck, they smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from inside.  After removing both the driver and passenger from the vehicle, a search revealed a rolled marijuana cigarette on the passenger.  In a subsequent search of the truck agents found approximately 16 gross grams of cocaine base, 3 gross grams of cocaine and 60 gross grams of marijuana.

The driver Jonathan Shawn Platt and the passenger Josh Way McKnight were arrested and taken to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center where at a hearing McKnight's bond was set at $60,000.00 and Platt's at $30,000.00.  As of Friday mid-day both remained at the detention center.
