“Save Veronica” organization protested on steps of the SC Supreme Court April 2012.

The hearing was closed to the public. All reporting was done on Sumter Street outside of the court.

This is the first time Dusten Brown was back in South Carolina, he was in court wearing his military uniform but again refused to comment on Veronica's transition to her new family.

All sides of the case are prohibited from commenting due to a gag order issued by the court. However, Matt and Melanie Capobianco tell News 2 after the hearing that they feel “optimistic” even though they appear emotionally drained.
