Meteorologist Josh Marthers arrived in the South Carolina Lowcountry in May of 2007 and can be seen weekdays on News 2 Today and News 2 Midday.
Josh graduated Cum Laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences, concentrating in both meteorology and climatology. He has forecasting experience in Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia.
Throughout college, peers and faculty recognized Josh for his commitment to academic excellence and community service. He served as president of two honor societies and was active in several campus organizations. While at Mississippi State, he was chosen by the administration as a President’s Scholar.
Josh’s forecasts hold the prestigious Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. The Society awards the Seal to on-air meteorologists who show competence in developing and communicating technically sound forecasts.
Since coming to the Lowcountry, Josh has made his home in Mount Pleasant. Josh is a huge music fan and jumps at any chance to go to a concert, meaning you can find him at various live music hotspots around the Carolinas in his spare time.
